The Durham Orange Quilters are hosting the North Carolina Quilt Symposium this year at William Peace University in Raleigh, NC. William Peace University is an ideal location! The campus is compact and easy to navigate. Moving in is easy, and getting to your classes, the quilt show, the vendor mall, meals, and evening activities, a breeze. We hope you will join us at Symposium. Visit our Symposium pages for more information and registration forms.
The Durham-Orange Quilt Guild (DOQ) is a diverse group with a common interest in quilting.
We sponsor creative workshops, stimulating programs, inspiring quilt shows and fun quilting events. We also have an extensive donation quilt program which provides quilts to local hospitals, churches and service organizations.
Whether you are new to quilting or an experienced longarmer, there is something for everyone in the DOQ. From traditional pieced quilts to applique, art and modern quilts, our guild members cover all interests and all levels. Come to one of our meetings and learn about all the ways we are involved in quilting and in our community.
We welcome visitors and newcomers!
We meet monthly on the 3rd Monday of the month (except for December when we meet on the 1st or 2nd Monday). The program starts at 7:00pm with social time beginning at 6:30pm.
We meet in the Parish Center building at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Chapel Hill.
